“God Reigns”
One thing that comes to mind over and over again is that God is in control and he reigns. This is very comforting when I hear bad news. We live in a fallen world where bad things happen. I was talking to a Pastor friend of mine in Seattle and a young 18 year old man that attended his church was shot and killed in Rainier Valley this week. We grieve the violence that occurs in our communities of color and in other communities around the world. We know that as the church of Jesus Christ, God is calling us to declare the gospel and love people. The gospel is the answer for the human heart that is filled with hate and discord. Psalm 62:11&12 brings us light, “One thing God has spoken, two tings I have heard: Power belongs to you, God, and with you, Lord is unfailing love; and you reward everyone according to what they have done.”
