Sunday Sermon  A Living Sacrifice, Don’t Climb Off the Altar

Romans 12:1 “Therefore, I urge you brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship.”

We continue our theme of allowing the presence of the Lord in this place by doing his will. We place our lives on the altar of God and He does amazing things. We surrender to Him so He can work through us. God is so good. He uses us for his glory, so we can be a blessing to someone else; in the process, we don’t allow the flesh to rule, but God rules. We don’t allow those negative past behaviors to cause us to sin; but we enjoy his presence, which leads us to righteous living. There is a wonderful old hymn that says, “Is your all on the altar of sacrifice laid, your heart does the Spirit control? You can only be blessed and have peace and sweet rest, if you yield Him your body and soul”. Do that this day, and each and every day this week, and you will see some great things develop in your life.

Be blessed as you surrender,
